07-16 How do you get Illustrator's modifier keys back?
Somewhere along the line, my Illustrator modifier keys (Shift to constrain to a square, option for smaller intervals, that sort of thing) just stopped working. Apparently this isn't a new or surprising issue, but I can't seem to find a fix that actually works for me. Ideas that didn't work include:
- Turning off secure keyboard entry in Terminal.
- Quitting a version of Office that I don't even have.
- Quitting all processes of a "scheduler" type. I went ahead and quit them all, except system ones. Missing Sync listener, Quicksilver, etc etc.
- Standing on my head and praying to Zeus to bring back normal functionality.

OK, a few options here.
1. Uninstall and re-install your PC + illustrator. Not a good one.
2. Uninstall and re-install illustrator. still not a good option.
3. This probably a setting change on your illustrator, look for every setting from the top menu. Can give it a try option
4. ask some one the right place. Your blog isn't right place for this question. Go to adobe site, check for the righ forum/newsgroup, and post your question, you should get your answer back within a day. Recommended option #
